“THE GOOD CHURCH” ~ What are the marks of a “good” church? A beautiful building? Effective programs? Good music? Solid finances? Or is it something more? Join us over the next few months as we study the New Testament book of Titus and discover what it means to be a “GOOD” church!
TRINITY’S FALL CELEBRATION ~ SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28TH! Please plan to join us for this special day of Worship and Fellowship! Our guests will be Matthew Smith and Indelible Grace (mattewsmith.us, igracemusic.com). They will lead a Worship Seminar for us at 9:30am and will lead our gathered Worship Service at 11:00am. We will not have Adult or Youth Bible Fellowship, but we will have nursery available at both hours, Children’s Bible Fellowship at 9:30am and Children’s Church at 11:00am. Church-wide BBQ lunch, games, prizes and activities for the whole family to follow! Invite family and friends! Trinity is about to turn 15!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! We need fun-filled volunteers to help with games and activities at the fall festival. If you would like to help, please contact Penny Crandall.
WEDNESDAY FELLOWSHIP SUPPERS AND EVENING ACTIVITIES: Join us on Wednesdays! Suppers start at 6:00pm. Trinity will provide the main dish, and we ask that you bring a side to share. Wednesday evening activities for children, youth, men and women run from 7:00-8:00pm. The main dish for October 24th is Chicken Pot Pie.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD $9 PER BOX DONATION: It's week 3 of our OCC Shoebox project. If you haven't picked up your boxes yet, please visit the table in the Narthex. The $9 donation covers the cost of operating 8 processing warehouses in the US (including one in Atlanta), the cost of transportation from the processing center to over 100 countries, and the cost of transporting from the point of entry in each country to local churches. Boxes may travel by canoes, elephants, donkeys, and camels. Please place a single check in any of your boxes to cover the total amount of shipping for your boxes. Thanks for helping Samaritan's Purse deliver boxes all over the world! Return boxes by November 11th.
EMERGENCY TRAINING: We will have someone from the Pickens Fire Department at Trinity on Tuesday, October 30th at 5:00pm to teach CPR, wound dressings and AED training. If you have questions or would like to sign up, please email Jack Hollis.
IGNITE YOUTH BIBLE STUDY: RESOLVE: In the world... not of it. How do we resolve to live in the world but not be of it? How can Christian students live in this broken-down world, filled with sin and distractions at every turn, and not compromise? Is it even possible? What’s the balance between using the world as an opportunity for sharing Christ or just being dragged down? It’s a hard balance to strike, but one that God has prepared us for! Join Terence & Amanda Griggs on the 1st & 3rd Sundays this Fall, from 6:30 - 8pm.
TEEN PARENTING BIBLE STUDY: All parents of teens are invited to a bible study especially for you! Join Charles Caudell at Trinity on the 1st & 3rd Sundays this Fall, from 6:30 - 8pm.
NEW COLLEGE AND YOUNG ADULT GROUP! IIf you’re between 18-25, join us for fellowship! Phillip and Nancy Legg will be leading this new group that will meet weekly on Sunday afternoons at 4:00 in the fellowship hall.
SEARCH COMMITTEE: A Search Committee has been formed to begin our quest for a Director of Worship and Media Arts. Please pray that God would lead us to the right person for this position. CELEBRATE RECOVERY: Celebrate Recovery meets every Friday. Dinner is at 6:30pm, followed by Large Group Worship at 7:00pm and Share Groups at 8:00pm. Celebrate Recovery is now open to anyone who has a hurt, habit or hang-up that is stealing the peace God intended you to have.
