“THE CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS” At this time of year, so many people celebrate Christmas, but have no understanding of the Christ in Christ-mas. Join us for the Sundays of Advent as we explore the names given to this unique child and what they tell us about the purpose of His birth.
CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE: Our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service will be on Monday, December 24th at 5:00pm. Come celebrate the advent of Christ with your whole family. Nursery will be provided for 0-4 years of age.
IGNITE CHRISTMAS PARTY: On Wednesday, December 19th, at 6:00pm, we will have dinner, games and a White Elephant gift exchange. Youth, please bring a bag of chips or a 2 liter drink for the evening. If you would like to participate in our White Elephant game, please bring a $5 or less gift to exchange.
COLLECTION FOR HOMELESS MINISTRY: We are collecting gently used coats, jeans, gloves, socks, blankets and other warm clothing to send to the homeless in Atlanta via the Holy Spirit Ranch Ministries on Sunday afternoons. There is a collection basket located in the narthex. Items can also be dropped off during the week. Thank you for helping!
SCHEDULE FOR DECEMBER 30TH: On Sunday, December 30th, we will have ONE COMBINED SERVICE at 11:00. We will not be having Bible Fellowship Classes, but we will have nursery and Children's Church.
HOLIDAY OFFICE HOURS: The church offices will be closed Monday, December 24th through Tuesday, January 1st. We will open again on Wednesday, January 2nd. If you need to contact us during that time, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. That email will go immediately to our pastoral staff.
NEW BIBLE STUDY: Looking to begin a Bible Study in January? Join Terence & Amanda Griggs as they lead a study of the Book of Acts. Study begins January 7th. This is a Precept Upon Precept course and will meet every other Monday at 12:30 through May 6th. Book cost is $20. If you have questions about Inductive Bible Study or need more details, call or text Amanda at 770-894-3391. Sign up on Sunday at the welcome desk. Deadline to register is Sunday, December 23rd.
NEW ADULT BIBLE FELLOWSHIP: Starting in January, the 9:30 ABF in the Gathering Room will conduct an in-depth study of the book of Galatians. This early epistle of Paul has been called the “Magna Carta of spiritual emancipation;” its chief focus being the gospel of grace alone that redeems us from the condemnation of the law. We will examine Paul’s exposition of the real truths of the gospel and emphasize the unfailing response of true believers to its grace—to live a crucified life by the power of the Spirit.
SMALL GROUP REGISTRATION: If you are not already a part of a Trinity small group, you will be able to join one in early January. Be on the lookout for the registration via insert or email! Small groups are the best way to know, and be known by, your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ at Trinity!
BAPTISM: Baptism is a beautiful, biblical affirmation of our faith in Jesus. If you are a follower of Christ and have never publicly professed your faith through baptism, please talk to a Pastor or contact the church office. We would love to include you in our next baptism service which will be coming soon.
WEATHER ALERTS: When we have weather events, Trinity will communicate service time changes or cancellations via church-wide email and via our website (trinityonthenet.org). But you will only receive the email if you are on our email list for church events and activities. If you would like to be on that list or to update your information for our database, click here or fill out a Guest Card on Sunday and mark the last box on the front of the card.
CELEBRATE RECOVERY: Celebrate Recovery meets every Friday. Dinner is at 6:30pm, followed by Large Group Worship at 7:00pm and Share Groups at 8:00pm. Celebrate Recovery is now open to anyone who has a hurt, habit or hang-up that is stealing the peace God intended you to have. Contact Steve Blackwell, email@example.com, or Rhonda Blackwell, firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
