News & Events

During His ministry on earth, Jesus told stories to both reveal and conceal the truth. Why? Do we have “ears to hear” what Jesus is telling us? Join us each Sunday this summer as we study the parables of Jesus in the Gospel of Luke and discover practical wisdom for life!

SUNDAY WITH THE DEETLEFS: The Deetlefs family will be with us on Sunday, July 15th. Marius, Jodi and Emi will be here to share about their ministry in Jeffreys Bay, South Africa. Plan to join us for lunch and special time of fellowship with the Deetlefs family.

BABY BOTTLES DUE BACK! Thank you to all those who have participated in the North Georgia Pregnancy Center Baby Bottle Fundraiser. Please return all filled bottles to the collection baskets located on the counter under the bulletin board area. Your donations are greatly appreciated!

COMMUNITY OUTREACH! Trinity Church is partnering with other churches and organizations in Pickens County to sponsor a “Back to School Bash” benefiting needy kids in our community. The event will be held at the Pickens County Boys and Girls Club on July 28th from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Kids will receive backpacks with school supplies, free haircuts, free dental and vision screenings, hearing tests and physicals. There will also be fun stuff like inflatables, face painting and food! If you would like to volunteer to help at this community event, please indicate that on a Guest Card or talk to Kirk Raffield or Rhonda Blackwell. Let’s bless the kids in our community!

SUMMER DAD’S CLUB: All dads of kids under 18 are invited to join us for a discussion/study about the challenges and joys of being dads! Pastor Jeff will lead the group using his book, “Fathering Like the Father.” The group will meet upstairs at 7:00pm in the church office area while the youth and kids programs are running on Wednesday nights this summer. Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, July 11th.

WOMEN OF TRINITY SUMMER BLESSINGS: All ladies are invited to join us for our summer blessings series. We will have coffee, fellowship and be blessed by some of our ladies sharing their walk with God. Our next meeting will be Wednesday, July 11th at 10:00am in the Gathering Room.

TRINITY’S GLOBAL MISSION: Today, we find ourselves living in a very fast and constantly changing world! Significant and major trends are developing, however, that should serve as a roadmap for our response to join God in His Global Mission. Understanding these trends is essential to forming this response. On Monday evening, July 16th at 6:00pm, the Trinity Elders and Missions Committee will host Todd McPherson from Operation Mobilization, who will help us unpack and understand these trends and seek God’s wisdom for our future mission efforts! And anyone at Trinity is invited to join us and engage in this conversation! We will meet in the Fellowship Hall.

PILATES CLASSES: Beginner to Intermediate Pilates class is held every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30-10:45am and Intermediate to Advanced Pilates class is held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00-8:45am. Classes meet in area beside the Fellowship Hall. For more information, call Barbara Mendonca, 408-500-8554.
