Contemporary or Traditional?
Trinity is a non-denominational church with people who worship together from all different backgrounds and walks of life. Some of those who worship with us have grown up in the church with traditional hymns and choruses, while others tend to enjoy newer, more contemporary and cutting edge worship songs.
Our services at Trinity incorporate both traditional and contemporary music in a blended service. We believe, however, that worship through music is more than simply a style. Instead, it is the body of Christ expressing her love and adoration of our risen Savior. Be it contemporary or traditional, we work hard to select songs that are theologically sound and Christ focused as opposed to repetitive and me centered worship.
Ways you can be involved
If you can talk, you can sing!
The Trinity Praise Choir performs seasonal musicals for Christmas, Easter, and the Fourth of July. We also perform special music on occasion on Sunday mornings.
We practice on Thursdays every week from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.
Qualifications for participation:
- You do not have to be a member of Trinity to participate.
- You do not have to know how to read music.
- You must be able to sing on pitch.
- You must be able to attend 70% of rehearsals before a musical.
- Be ready to stretch yourself and have fun!
Praise Team and Praise Band
Our two praise teams consist of four vocalists on each team that sing twice a month on alternating Sundays. We have a 3rd group that sings on the 5th Sundays of the month and fill in when someone on one of the primary groups isn't able to sing. We practice year-round every Wednesday from 8:15 to 9:15 pm.
Our two praise bands consist of two electric guitarists, one acoustic guitarist, one drummer, one piano player, and one keys player on each team that play twice a month on alternating Sundays. We practice year-round every Wednesday from 8:15 to 9:15 pm.
If you would like to audition for either our praise band or our praise team, please email Chris Ridler, our Pastor of Worship Arts, at email@example.com.
The media ministry at Trinity Church is led by our Technical Arts Director, Mark Young. We are always looking for folks who love technology and might be willing to learn how media works at Trinity. If you would like more information about how you can be a part of the media team, please contact Mark Young at Mark@Trinityonthenet.org.
